Our company is growing! We are looking for a planing mill and drying chamber Production Manager to join our team with immediate effect.

Your tasks

  • Plan and monitor production in the areas of lumber drying, stacking and planing lines
  • Prepare work plans in cooperation with the sawmill and shipping departments
  • Prepare drying plans and monitor drying cycles
  • Perform quality control on kiln-dried wood
  • Plan and monitor maintenance work on the equipment in close cooperation with the technical department
  • Manage the team and staff

Your profile

  • You have a bachelor's degree in a technical field or agricultural sciences and / or you have gained experience as a production manager in the field of planing mill / wood drying or in other industries
  • You have strong technical skills and are solution-oriented
  • You have leadership skills and can guide a team towards a common goal
  • You speak fluent German and French

The IBV & Cie site in Vielsalm (BE) processes regional softwoods into sawn timber, and the sawmill by-products are used to make wood chips. The site also operates a biomass co-generation plant. It is the Wood & Energy Group's largest production site.
